Project Scope

Piedmont Driving Club, a prestigious private club, enlisted our services to upgrade its facilities with modern audiovisual (AV), structured cabling and access control systems. Initially brought on to assist with a new building project near their pool area, our role quickly expanded to include updates throughout the club’s facilities. We implemented AV solutions in key areas like ballrooms and dining spaces, installed access control systems for gated areas, and provided networking infrastructure to support security cameras and expand club networking and WIFI. Our efforts have helped improve both the operational efficiency of the club and the overall experience for its members.

The Challenge

Piedmont Driving Club faced a range of technical challenges as they looked to modernize their facilities:

  1. New Modern Restaurant & Event Space: PDC was in the design phase of a new two-story restaurant, bar and event space to be built near their existing pool. MacroTek was asked to consult on a state of the art AV system that could also be tied into the existing spaces inside the facility.
  2. Seamless Video Distribution: The club needed an AV system capable of broadcasting audio and video content across multiple high-traffic areas, including ballrooms and dining rooms, to enhance the guest experience during events and social gatherings.
  3. Integrated Access Control: With multiple entry points throughout the property, including gates at their golf course, the club required a reliable access control system to manage entry and ensure the safety of members and staff.
  4. Networking Infrastructure for Security Cameras: While the club managed their own camera system, they needed help with the installation of networking infrastructure to ensure that cameras had a reliable connection across the expansive property.

  • Networking Infrastructure for Cameras: While Piedmont Driving Club manages their own camera system, we ran all the necessary networking lines to ensure stable and reliable camera performance throughout the property.
